The Breaking of the Bread
Join us for a Men’s & Women’s Silent Retreat directed by Bishop Liam Cary.
Bishop Liam Cary was born in Portland, Oregon. He entered Mount Angel Seminary in 1967 and graduated from high school and college there. After a year of theology at St. Patrick's Seminary in Menlo Park, he took a leave of absence that lasted 18 years. In 1992, he received a Licentiate in Moral Theology from the Gregorian University and was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Portland. Throughout his priesthood he has been involved in Hispanic ministry. Fr. Cary was named Bishop of the Diocese of Baker by Pope Benedict XVI in 2012.
This retreat will take place in an atmosphere of silence to allow everyone the freedom to have a personal heart to heart dialogue with the Lord and experience His Love anew. Registration closes one week before the retreat. Check in time is 4-6p on Friday. The retreat concludes at 12p on Sunday.
