Seeking the Face of God
Join us for a Women’s Silent Retreat directed by Fr. Edmund Page, O.Praem.
Fr. Edmund Page, O.Praem., entered St. Michael's Abbey in 2010. Fr. Edmund resides at the abbey and serves as the abbey's guestmaster and succentor (assistant cantor). He also directs the abbey's polyphonic choir, known as the Abbey Schola. Fr. Edmund graduated from Ave Maria University with a BA in music and a concentration in sacred music. During his abbey formation, he received a BA in Fundamental Theology and a Master's degree in Theology from St. Philip's Seminary in Toronto. He also studied for two years in Rome, where he received a licentiate in Spiritual Theology from the Pontifical University of St. Thomas.
We know that in heaven, we shall see God face to face. But what about now, on this earth? What does it mean to seek the face of God? How can we see Him? Our conferences will explore God's face in the Scriptures, history, sacred art, and also our own lived experience of Christianity. This is a deeper journey into the life of prayer which is nothing other than the loving gaze of Christ upon our hearts. To learn a little about Fr.
