Fr. Paul A. McDonnell, OSJ, a native of Pennsylvania, was ordained a priest in the Congregation of the Oblates of St. Joseph in 1991. He has fulfilled many roles throughout his almost 30 years of priestly ministry, most recently as the first USA provincial superior of the Holy Spouses Province from 2013-19. He also served simultaneously as rector of the Shrine of St. Joseph, Guardian of the Redeemer, Santa Cruz, until his transfer in June, 2020. He has now returned to his native area of northeastern Pennsylvania where he serves as rector of his religious community, assists diocesan clergy and directs retreats, conferences & workshops for clergy and laity.
